International Pageant Preliminary

The following rules and regulations apply to all UK contestants, we will require a signed copy by all contestants or parents of contestants below aged 18 before the UK finals

International Junior Miss® Preliminary Pageant Royalty Agreement

Congratulations! As an International Junior Miss® Preliminary Pageant Winner or State Appointed Delegate you, and your parent if you are under legal age of consent, understand and agree to this Agreement as a pre-requisite to participate in the International Junior Miss® Pageant. Failure to comply with the provisions of this Agreement may disqualify you from participating in International Junior Miss® Pageant.

1. I agree make a minimum of 12 appearances throughout my year’s reign. Appearances may include but are not limited to parades, radio, television and newspaper interviews, and public appearances at events. I agree to provide International Junior Miss, Inc. with photos of appearances for the International Junior Miss® website and promotion. I understand that if I am unwilling or unable to fulfill my obligations under this Agreement for any reason, the title won, and all prizes will be awarded and transferred, along with all prizes and awards, to the first runner up.

2. The reign of the International Junior Miss® Pageant winners (“International Royalty”) will commence immediately after crowning and will end immediately following the crowning of their successor.

3. International Junior Miss® Pageant titleholders agree to make monthly contact with International Junior Miss, Inc. by phone, letter, or e-mail.

4. International Junior Miss® Pageant titleholders agree to provide International Junior Miss® Pageant with digital copies of articles pertaining to her reign and pictures of appearances for the pageant’s records.

5. Overall International Junior Miss® Pageant titleholders agree that they will not enter any other pageant or compete for any other titles during their year’s reign without the prior written permission from International Junior Miss® Pageant. The International Junior Miss® Pageant title is the overall winners' main pageant-related priority. Winners are expected to give their time and commitment to this title and this title only during their year’s reign. Permission for International Junior Miss® Pageant titleholders to participate in other pageants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

6. Entrants may have a modeling, commercial tie-up, personal management or agency contract. Those contracts do NOT authorize or permit the use of the International Junior Miss® trademark or any other registered trade name, trademark, or logo of International Junior Miss® Pageant or any title designation or reference with respect to the pageant in any manner.

7. International winners agree to attend the next year’s pageant to crown their successors.

STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING

Publicity and Promotion Release By virtue of participation in the International Junior Miss® Pageant,

Delegate agrees to allow International Junior Miss, Inc., the right to use her name, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion now and in the future.

Delegate understands that her name, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information may be used on the internet, in print advertising, press releases and merchandise related to the International Junior Miss® Pageant (e.g., t-shirts, tote bags, hats, other apparel, mouse pads, and other promotional materials.)

Delegate agrees to release International Junior Miss® Pageant, from liability for any injury resulting from publicity and promotion.

Delegate agrees to waive all compensation for use of her name, likeness, voice, and /or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion.

Disqualification / Title Relinquishment If Delegate is disqualified or relinquishes, for any reason, any title awarded to her, all prizes must be returned in full, and in condition received. If, for any reason, any of the International winners resign or are disqualified, the 1st runner-up in the appropriate age division will assume the title and all prizes.

Limitation of Liability

a.) International Junior Miss, Inc. is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages to Entrant arising out of or in connection with any Preliminary Pageant leading to the International Junior Miss® Pageant. Entrant releases and holds harmless International Junior Miss, Inc. from any claims of liability including but not limited to warranty, tort, negligence, contract, even if International Junior Miss, Inc., its owners, officers, employees, or agents were informed of the possibility of such damage, such damages are foreseeable and even if these remedies fail their essential purpose. Preliminary Pageant Entrant agrees to look solely to the Preliminary Pageant Affiliate with respect to all matters relating to her application, rules, regulations, policies, preparation, rehearsal, performance and selection process, and all other matters relating to the Preliminary Pageant.

b.) International Junior Miss, Inc. its officers, employees, and pageant personnel are not responsible for accidents, injury or theft incurred at the time of the International Junior Miss® Pageant or during travel to and from the pageant or any related competition, events, or appearances.

c.) International Junior Miss, Inc., is not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of Affiliate or Producers of any Preliminary Pageant, sponsors, judges, or contract vendors (e.g., photographer, videographer, etc.) who may provide products or services to Delegates at the Preliminary Pageant or International Junior Miss® Pageant.

d.) International Junior Miss, Inc. is not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of any travel services, hotel or lodging used in connection with the International Junior Miss® Pageant or Preliminary Pageant.

e.) International Junior Miss, Inc. is not responsible for arranging International or international travel or intervening in or resolving disputes surrounding international travel to the United States for the pageant competition.

f.) International Junior Miss, Inc. is not responsible for providing an interpreter for Delegates who do not speak or understand English.

g.) International Junior Miss. Inc. is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage caused to any prizes, gifts, and awards bestowed upon Entrant after these items become the property of Entrant. Entrant agrees to incur replacement and/or repair costs to lost, stolen, or damaged items including but not limited to: crown/tiara, sash, plaques, trophies, etc.

By submitting the entry form and fee(s) to International Junior Miss, Inc., Affiliate or for any Preliminary Pageant leading to the International Junior Miss® Pageant, Delegate agrees to abide by all policies, rules and regulations set forth by International Junior Miss® Pageant. Participation in the International Junior Miss® Pageant also indicates acceptance and agreement to abide by all policies, rules and regulations set forth by International Junior Miss® Pageant.

Delegate attests that all information submitted to International Junior Miss® Pageant is true and accurate. Falsification of information and failure to comply with the policies of International Junior Miss® Pageant may result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of prizes won without benefit of refund in full or in part at the sole discretion of International Junior Miss, Inc.

Eligibility and Acceptance.

Age: All Entrants shall meet the eligibility requirements set forth in this Manual. Entrants must compete in the correct age division based on the Entrants age as of January 1 of the International Junior Miss® Pageant year.

Age Divisions: Princess: 4 - 6 Years, Jr Pre-Teen: 7 - 9 Years, Pre-Teen: 10 - 12 Years, Jr. Teen: 13 - 15 Years, Teen: 16 - 18 Years, Miss: 19 - 24 Years

Marital / Parental status: Preliminary Pageant Entrants and Delegates to the International Junior Miss® Pageant must be single and never previously married (including annulments)

Gender: Any legal female may enter

Official Language: English is the official language of the International Junior Miss® Pageant and Preliminary Pageants. All Entrants and Delegates must speak, read, and write English.

Entrants understand and agree to look solely to the UK director with respect to all matters relating to her application, rules, regulations, policies, preparation, rehearsal, performance and selection process, and all other matters relating to the Preliminary Pageant. International Pageant’s officers, directors, agents, and employees are not liable to Entrant for anything whatsoever in connection with the Preliminary Pageant.

Entrants agree to attend the International Junior Miss® Pageant if selected as the winner in a Preliminary Pageant, and further agree to abide by all the required services, policies, rules, regulations, and requirements governing the International Junior Miss® Pageant.

Winners of any Preliminary Pageant are not eligible to re-compete in the same division at the same Preliminary Pageant but may re-enter once their age division changes such that they become eligible for a different division or title.

Winners of Preliminary Pageants may re-enter the International Junior Miss® Pageant as an Appointed Delegate once they have fulfilled their obligations as specified by the rules and regulations of the Preliminary Pageant.

Appointed Delegates: Participants in Preliminary Pageants who not named as the winning titleholder(s) may apply to become an Appointed Delegate following the conclusion of the Preliminary Pageant if spots are available at the International Junior Miss® Pageant. Final approval is subject to acceptable sportsmanship during and following the Preliminary Pageant. If a Preliminary Pageant is held for which Entrant qualifies, Entrant must first participate in the Preliminary Pageant before applying to enter the International Junior Miss® Pageant as an Appointed Delegate. Any Delegate who applies to enter the International Junior Miss® Pageant directly at the International level without first winning a Preliminary Pageant must meet one of the following conditions:

o No Preliminary Pageant is offered for which Entrant qualifies;

o Preliminary Pageant Director has agreed to Entrant’s participation as an Appointed Delegate due to special circumstances; or

o Entrant fulfilled the Preliminary Pageant participation requirement and did not emerge as the Preliminary Pageant winner; Delegates compete equally at the International Pageant regardless of status as a Preliminary Pageant winner or Appointed Delegate and regardless of title representation. Eligibility for Appointed titles is determined by meeting at least one of the following criteria:

o Current or prior residency in region;

o Current or prior employment in region;

o Current or prior student status in region;

o Current or prior property owner in the in region;

o Born in the region or state; or

o Appointed Delegates may hold an Appointed title for another region if they have familial ties to the region or live within 50 miles of the border and granted release to do so in writing by International Pageant. Appointed Delegates shall rank their top three title choices. Upon receipt of required sponsorship fee, Delegate is placed into “pending” status regarding title assignment. Appointed titles are assigned upon receipt of paperwork, photo, and payment in full of required fees. If two applicants apply for the same title, the title will be awarded to the first applicant who makes payment in full, regardless of when the initial applications were filed. The other applicant will receive another available title for which they qualify upon receipt of payment in full. International Pageant retains full and ultimate authority for all decisions regarding assignment of titles to Appointed Delegates for representation associated with the International Junior Miss® Pageant.

Appointed Delegates shall agree to attend the International Junior Miss® Pageant once confirmed as an Appointed Delegate and to abide by all the required services, policies, rules, regulations, and requirements governing this pageant. Appointed Delegates agree to look solely to International Pageant with respect to all matters relating to the application, the preparation, rehearsal, performance and selection process and all other matters relating to the International Junior Miss® Pageant. Returning Appointed Delegates: Former winners of International Junior Miss® Pageant Titles are not eligible to compete in the same division but may re-enter once their status changes such that they become eligible for a different division. Appointed Delegates may re-enter the International Pageant from year to year. Winners of Preliminary Pageants are not eligible to re-compete in the same division at the same Preliminary Pageant but may re-enter once their status changes such that they become eligible for a different division. Winners of Preliminary Pageants may re-enter the International Pageant as an Appointed Delegate in the same division.

Titles: Titles commence upon receipt of written notification from International Pageant and expire at the end of the calendar year during which the International Junior Miss® Pageant is held or coronation of a new Appointed Delegate for the opportunity to compete at the next International Junior Miss® Pageant. International Pageant retains the right to reserve any title for any reason and to award titles in reserve status to Appointed Delegates based upon criteria established by International Pageant.

Eligibility / Acceptance Determination Agreement: All issues as to eligibility shall be determined solely and exclusively by International Pageant. Entrant agrees to abide by International Pageant’s eligibility determination both as to herself and others. Entrant agrees to produce an original copy of her birth certificate to verify age and gender upon request. Entrant agrees to produce an original copy of her marriage license or divorce decree to verify marital status upon request. International Pageant reserves the right to refuse entry into the International Junior Miss® Pageant or Preliminary Pageant to anyone for any reason.
